We had two sessions with Julia for my new baby... One when he was 8 weeks, to get the slightly newborn phase (covid stopped it being earlier) and another when my brother was visiting from Canada, so got the family shots. Both shoots were super relaxed, professional, fun and just a delight to be a part of. Julia knew what we wanted from the start with a short but really comprehensive survey, so made sure we got everything... The photos are stunning, and I'm so glad we get to treasure those two special times with such great images! Thank you Julia, I couldn't be happier! x

If you are considering a maternity shoot I would absolutely recommend booking with Julia - she makes the experience so easy; from tips on how to dress/what to wear - to her purposeful thought of location. She is caring, engaging and patient. I would never have thought I had the confidence to ‘pose’ for such a shoot, but Julia made the whole experience so easy and natural, there were absolutely no awkward moments, in fact we commented it felt like a friends catch up, despite never having met before - I am so glad I took the plunge. I am blown away by the initial sneak peaks Julia has sent me (& my friends reactions to them!)…so much so that I will definitely be seeking Julia out for newborn shots once our little one arrives. Julia was super relaxed and made me feel the same, even as I stripped down between “costume changes” 😂 in the middle of Newport Lakes on a 15 degree evening! She took her time during the shoot and never pressured me to walk faster as I hobbled along in thongs and cankles over the rock and stick-littered nature reserve. She even carried my bags and helped me take the shoes on and off my very swollen feet.

She knew just the right times to get the perfect golden hour pictures and used her knowledge to make wonderful magic with the light of the evening. She even planned out the order of photo locations to maximise lighting as the sun was setting over the course of the session.
